What We Did
Reduced the Number of Countries & Languages Targeted
We only wanted to target countries and languages for which Dundle had unique content. This took us from 200 to 7.
Hreflang
We thoroughly tested XML sitemaps and the movement of Hreflang data from the HTML to XML sitemaps.
Refined and Curated Country and Language Landing Pages
Ensured top products for those users were represented and that we were using expertise to guide users instead of showing all cards available.
Optimized PageRank
Conducted an analysis of the site using a multi-variate testing approach to suggest linking structures that optimized PageRank to key product pages.
Reorganized the Folder Structure to Align Primarily by Country, then Language.
This allowed better measurement of country-level reporting and made country targeting easier in Google Search Console.
Closed Content Gaps
We identified content gaps that aligned on producing content for cross-country gift and game card recommendations by event/holiday types.
