Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for helping our Technical SEO directors with different types of tasks that range from implementing recommendations on websites to doing different types of audits. You will have an opportunity to present your audit and findings on client calls.
Depending on experience, you will also get to be the lead strategist for 1 or 2 clients, where you will be responsible for:
- Assessing and developing complex, multi-faceted strategies on behalf of clients that translate to tactical quarterly deliverables to drive business benefit and client buy in,
- Performing thorough, detailed website analysis, identifying current problems and opportunities, with a focus on crawlability, site architecture and site content,
- Staying up to date on current industry practices, news and algorithm updates.
Experience
We’ll be asking you direct questions about your experience in the interview process.
- You have 2 to 4 years experience in conducting SEO campaigns and related work, with high preference given to candidates with extended agency experience,
- You have a strong analytical aptitude and are open and friendly. Diving deep into HTML and analyzing a spreadsheet doesn’t scare you. You probably have a bachelor’s or graduate degree in business, marketing, communications, computer science, information systems, or similar, but this is not required.
- You can translate complex ideas to easy to understand concepts for clients,
- You have a high standard for quality, ensuring all deliverables are top-notch, communicate clearly, completed prior to deadlines, and on strategy,
- Solid understanding of algorithms and recent Google updates,
- Understanding of crawling, rendering, and indexing by search engines,
- Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks, ecommerce platforms, and disparate analytics frameworks,
- Strong data analytics and strategy background,Â
- A business mindset to be able to communicate and manage requirements of stakeholders both internal and client facing,
- Ability to think strategically and drive solid results to grow the business,
- Ability to meet with development teams, review code, and make cogent change requests which consider development limitations,
- Ability to interact with people at all levels of an organization, fostering strong cross-functional teamwork,
- Strong experience in the use of commercially available key SEO industry tools, as well as the drive and motivation to learn how to use our proprietary tools,
- Exceptional oral, written, presentation, and communication skills,
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an eagerness to work as a member of a team,
- While not a requirement, having a pet is really appreciated by the team
- Experience in local seo, auditing business profiles, citation management and strategy.
- Familiarity applying data science, machine learning, and RAG techniques to enhance and streamline SEO processes is a plus.
Skills
These are some items that the perfect candidate for this role would ideally have.
- Experience with Python and ability to process GSC and GA data from APIsÂ
- Familiar with programmatic web development and JavaScript,
- Familiar with SQL to pull insights or worth with the reporting team to build pipelines,
- Prompt Engineering for Data: Ability to construct advanced prompts to clean, format, and analyze CSV/Excel exports from tools like Screaming Frog or Ahrefs,
- Familiarity with CRMs such as Salesforce, Marketo, Hubspot, etc. is a plus.
